About this project

Keelhaul is a working SaaS MVP for freight brokers who need to vet a carrier before handing over a load. The app checks live registry data, reads insurance/rate PDFs, flags risk signals like inactive authority, expired insurance, name mismatches, address drift, and double-brokering indicators, then saves the full decision trail for review. It includes a Next.js frontend, FastAPI backend, Supabase/Postgres database, auth, license-key access, admin panel, lead capture, live registry connectors, sample documents, and backend tests. The core product is already deployed and usable as a demo. This is best for someone who wants to take over a focused freight-risk product, plug it into their own broker/compliance workflow, or keep building it into a niche SaaS.

Original vision

I created this project to help companies quickly check contractors to avoid scammers. The service works with the USA, EU, and Russia.
